It's not the dark we're afraid of, it's what we think
might be lurking in it that frightens us.

Once Upon A Time in the 70s

A girl who looks a lot like me, only a few decades younger, went to the movies and saw this guy. Nice Oscar Wilde disguise there Vince.

And this movie;

And then one day I saw this;

And that was it, I was hooked. Everyone had to start somewhere. Where did it all begin for you?

Ok, I HAVE to share this post from Wendy over at The Halloween Tree

Without getting into masses of detail (Wendy has done that much better than I could), you can commission artist Lew Lehrman to paint a picture of your home (or anything else you like I expect) in full Halloween regalia! They say a picture speaks a thousand words and the stories behind each painting do just that.

The examples in the gallery are wonderful. Pop over to The Halloween Tree to read the full post and please take the time to visit the artist's site. I think this is my favourite, hard as it is to pick one;

Chosen One by Lew Lehrman

The Walking Dead, Season 2

Ooooh, the weather outside is frightful! Another non-Summer here in England, so while I watch the cold rain beat down what appears in the Hollow Post? An announcement from AMC that Season 2 of The Walking Dead  will shamble across your television screens this October. That is if your in the U.S.

Fans here across the Atlantic will have to wait a while, (I think. We might get lucky and have it at the same time as the American release date) to take up where the story left off in Season 1; the destruction of the CDC building and our band of survivors once again seeking sanctuary.

Another reason Autumn is THE season!

Guess Who's Another Year Older?

Wiser, no. Older, yes.......I suppose it's too late to get my birthday changed to October 31st?
