It's not the dark we're afraid of, it's what we think
might be lurking in it that frightens us.

Pink's the Word

Assuming the ultrasound she had today was correct and all continues to go well, it appears my daughter is having a baby girl this coming December! Me, a granny.....can you dig it?

Wolfman

I've posted two links as they seem to be going down as fast as they're posted. Not that much is given away in the trailer, but its nice to get a sneak peek.

Edit: Thanks to Shane, again, for an update. Release date for Wolfman has been moved. Again! This time to February 2010. More info on this dedicated thread on the Halloween forum; Wolfman Discussion

Super Hero Yourself!

Here's something fun you can do. The kids, if you have 'em, will love it as well. The picture is my Super Hero self. Pretty cool eh?

Here's the link and happy alter-ego'ing! Super Hero Yourself

Romero Rides Again

Attention zombie fans! George Romero's much anticipated "Survival of the Dead" will be shown at the Toronto Film Festival, September 10-19, 2009. What hopes he's spurned the zombie cum Olympic sprinter (thanks ever so, Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days Later!) and returned to the iconic shambling wraith?

T.I.F.F. programme & schedules info

No info yet on a UK release date, but I'll keep my eyes open for that and those pesky zombies!

Thanks once again to the ever vigilant J.T. on Halloween forum for the tip off on the movie title! By golly its going to be a fun Autumn/Halloween this year with so many great new scary movies coming out!

Wolfman Update & Again With The Aliens

My sources report that we have a release date for the new Wolfman movie, directed by Joe Johnston, of November 6, 2009! I'm trying to find out if this is a world-wide release date or if it will be staggered, starting with the U.S., as is sometimes the case.

Thanks to Johnny Thunder over at the Halloween forum for the tip.

Who's an excited beastie then?!

Plus! I found this great trailer on what looks like "Alien Nation" gone wrong. Out August 14th. Directed by LOTR's Peter Jackson.

Dog Days of Summer

Dog days bright and clear,
indicate a happy year.
But when accompanied by rain,
for better times our hopes are in vain...

The dog days are a period of 40 days starting July 3rd and ending August 11th. They are named for the Dog Star, Sirius, which is visible with the rising Sun at this time. Ancients associated this sky picture with the hot days that coincided with it. Hence the term "dog days of Summer".

Here in England, the Dog Days are starting out great. A pleasant change from the past two Summers which were decidely cold and wet. Don't forget the sunscreen and get out there and enjoy!

Monster Update

Bad news folks. Due to scheduling conflicts, the Godzilla-fest in San Fran this August has been postponed to 2010. Details here; Shock-It-To-Me

Happy Canada Day!

July 1st, Canada Day, celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1867 enactment of the British North America Act of 1867, which united Canada as a single country of four provinces; Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec.

It's grown a lot since then, adding more provinces from both east and west, along with the northern territories of the Yukon and what is now known as Nunavut. Right across the country there's fireworks, bbqs and everyone just generally goes slightly nuts for 24 hours. It's maple leaves as far as the eye can see! And it doesn't matter if you aren't Canadian; c'mon down and enjoy! Eh!

To all Canadians everywhere, whether at home or abroad like me, have a safe and fun holiday!
